Top 7: Games that should be on your E3 radar

From the excellent OfInterestToMe blog, here’s an alternative to our own E3 list.

Here is a list of seven games. Seven games that will (probably) be at E3 2011. Six games you’ve probably never heard of and one game you have (can you guess which one?).

The list awaits! Go read it!

7 – Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning

An open-world RPG from the lead designer of Morrowind and Oblivion that’s described as “taking God of War and marrying it with Oblivion”? Skyrim what now? Seriously though, Kingdoms of Amalur looks like it could turn out to be great RPG. And it’s one I’m looking forward to more then Elder Scroll V: Skyrim.

6 – Inversion

Inversion is the next game from Saber Interactive, developers of the criminally underrated Timeshift. Inversion is a 3rd person set in a future where Earth’s gravity has gone all screwy and an advanced enemy called the Lutador has invaded and really made a mess of the place. Zero gravity, sideways gravity, High gravity and low gravity, Inversion looks to mix thing up with some seriously cool looking tricks.

5 – Metro: Last Light

For some reason the follow-up to last years Metro 2033 is not going to be called Metro 2034 like the book series the games are based on. There really isn’t any info available besides the name so we’ll just have to wait until E3 to see more.

4 – Blacklight Retribution

Zombie Studios is going Free-to-play with their follow-up to Blacklight: Tango Down, Yay? I don’t really like F2P games, but I’m listing Blacklight Retribution simply because I loved the first game so much. Maybe since Blacklight Retribution has only been confirmed for PC Zombie will release a separate, paid version for consoles. Sort of like what Id Software did with Quake Live and Quake Arena Arcade? We’ll find out at E3.

3 – Sniper Ghost Warrior 2

Despite what most reviewers said I personaly think Sniper Ghost Warrior was a pretty good game. Sure it had problems, but not since Call of Duty 4’s “All Ghillied Up” mission has sniping in a game been so much fun. Hopefully City Interactive avoids the same mistakes in Sniper Ghost Warrior 2.

2 – Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception

Nolan North: The Videogame! I love Nolan North.

1 – Serious Sam 3: BFE

Serious F***ing Sam! Hell yeah! I don’t know what else to say about Serious Sam 3, There is no way to express in words how excited I am. Seriously Excited! I can not wait to see Serious Sam 3 in action and finally find out what exactly BFE stand for.
