There have been a lot of Rollercoaster and Theme Park simulators popping up recently (Theme Park Studio, Water park Tycoon and Wildlife Park 3 to name a few) but everyone knows that the king of the genre is Atari and Rollercoaster Tycoon. Well the loyal subjects will be pleased to hear that Rollercoaster Tycoon World will be launching on PC in Europe and Australasia in early 2015!
We already posted the teaser trailer, but incase you missed it, here it is again:
This time round the game is not being developed by Frontier, the developers of Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, and as we saw at E3 they seem to be working on a Rollercoaster themed game of their own for Xbox One. Rollercoaster Tycoon World is being developed by Area 51 Games, who were working with Disney on the abandoned Star Wars: Attack Squadrons game. Their team comprises of some Simulator veterans, so hopefully Atari can help steer them into developing the Rollercoaster Tycoon sequel that fans have been waiting for. To aid them reach that goal they have opened up the forums over at www.rollercoastertycoon.com to get the fans input into the game. Rollercoaster Tycoon World will be published by Bandai Namco.
