DeadEnd Cerebral Vortex Review (PC)

Hello to all our readers here at Calm Down Tom, Shaun Meyers (Kyo Akiara) here to bring you my next review for a game called DeadEnd Cerebral Vortex which is a Labyrinth type adventure game much like the classic “A Bard’s Tale”. This game is a more psychological suspense adventure game where the world around you changes and shifts putting a number of obstacles and walls in your path making you have to invert your reality in order to find the correct path.

The story to DeadEnd plays out in a number of challenges to collect soul fragments that will allow you to escape your altered reality. Throughout each stage there a number of pickups that will aid you in your journey and ultimately aid in your completion percentage of each area. These items all have different uses. Soul Cubes are your primary pickup these are pieces of your soul which are needed to complete each stage. Paint Cans put footprints on the ground allowing you to keep track of where you’ve been in the area. Lamps meanwhile increase your field of view within each map and eyeballs allow you to see your true surroundings.

There are a number of stages to play through as well and 4 substages to each area as well that help you progress through each area. Controlling the game requires only the mouse. You move your mouse around to look in a direction and you click your left mouse button to move forward one space, this can be a little boring after a while especially if your not used to one square movement.

Overall though the game offers some fun for those who enjoy this kind of game, but can get a little boring if being lost isn’t for you. The game is recommended for those that enjoy the classic labyrinth style games and are looking for an updated version. If this is you then chances are you already know you will like this. If not, the chances are there’s little here for you. Its cheap right now though, and if you enjoy this type of thing then you can’t really go wrong.

Thanks for Reading everyone and happy gaming!
