Tom lives in Glasgow and is a dark fantasy author and a games writer. His first novel “Anna Undreaming” was picked up for publication by Owl Hollow Press in March 2018. Tom has written about games for Kotaku, You Died, Unwinnable Magazine and GlitchFreeGame. He has written dialogue and backstory for a few videogames, and he is the Lead Writer and Narrative Designer at Ion Lands. Tom wrote and designed the narrative for Cloudpunk.
He was the winner of the Elbow Room fiction prize for his short story “And Then I was Floating” and has been published in short story collections, including 404 Ink, Transcendent and Leicester Writes. His story Suicide Vending Machine was featured on the Pseudopod Podcast.
An active public speaker on subjects like the publishing process, world-building in fantasy and horror and writing for games and interactive fiction, Tom is a member of the Scottish Book Trusts Live Literature Program.
Most of all, Tom is a fan of Neil Gaiman, Ursula K. Le Guin, Roger Zelazny and dark fantasy stories where women save themselves!
